There is a place for you here at Spirit of Life in Port Orchard, WA

In-person worship is cancelled for now.
We are complying with the governor's “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order. Check back here periodically for updates. If you are interested in receiving the link to worship with us Sundays at 10am on Zoom, please email us. To find worship videos for past services, please click here.
We don't need to meet in a building to be the church. We can be the body of Christ in the world, bringing comfort and good news, without leaving our homes. Be in prayer. Help your neighbors. Continue in generosity and love.

More than just a “Church”

Whether you are a believer, a doubter or a seeker... There is a place for you here. You are welcome. Your family, children, friends, spouses and partners are welcome. Your diversity and uniqueness are welcomed and honored.

Welcome to Spirit of Life Ministries

Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and faithfulness.

A message
from our Pastor
Pastor Aimee

It is hard for me to believe that I have served for 9 months. The way I pictured this year has not been how it turned out, at all. I feel thankful that we had half a year to get to know each other before Covid-19 sent us into quarantine. Since then we have worshiped together over Zoom where we can see and hear each other and participate together in praying, singing, and, praising God. Please send us an email here if you would like to receive the link to live Zoom worship or have a prayer request, and click here to view our past worship services. We have also kept community by checking in on one another by telephone.

The church council will determine when and how to meet in person in the future. Watch here for updates. Whether we can safely meet in a building or not does not determine whether we are the church, the body of Christ. Ministry is still happening. Jesus is still with us comforting and challenging and uniting us all.

Thanks be to God, Little Doves Learning Center continues to operate, serving the children of first responders and essential workers. Almost all the teachers are back to work and protocols are in place to maintain the health and safety of all children and staff.

Similarly, LifeCare Community Foodbank remains open, with safety precautions in place for volunteers and clients. Financial donations to the Food Bank have been particularly strong as neighbors and friends recognize this good service for people of Olalla.

Thank you for your generosity, prayers, and faithfulness.
God bless you,
Pastor Aimee

Spirit of Life is a Welcoming, Renewing and Serving Intergenerational Community in Christ.

We are a community of faith, trusting in God, rooting ourselves in the sacramental understanding of God's grace, responding to community needs, devoting ourselves to prayer, Bible study and fellowship, welcoming all as Christ welcomes and witnessing to God doing new things in the community and in our lives. Together, we profess our belief in the risen Christ, and trust in the Lutheran understanding that we are all saved by God's grace through faith. Spirit of Life is friendly & welcoming to all.

God's Work. Our Hands.

We are a welcoming, renewing and serving intergenerational community of discipleship in Christ, joyfully carrying out the mission of God in the world.

We are a publicly engaged church that rolls up our sleeves and gets to work. We do God's work in the world — the work of restoring and reconciling people and communities. We pursue justice and seek peace no matter how long the journey or wide the chasm. Because we are grounded in God's love and forgiveness, we are well equipped to live and serve here and now, in the world, with all its complexities, tensions and ambiguities.

There is no aspect of life in which God is not active, no place where God is not present. And this is exactly where we are called to participate in God's work, God's mission, in the thick of life, embracing individuals, families and communities that are hungry for hope and healing, justice and peace, advocates and partners.
